The Wyndham Arms - Mid Devon

We revisited this pub after receiving a warm reception from the owner and staff during our last visit. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and the food was excellent! The pub has a cozy atmosphere with a fireplace for colder days, but this time we opted to sit outside on the garden terrace to enjoy the beautiful weather. The cider was perfect for a hot day. The friendly waitress checked on us after 20 minutes to see if we needed anything. The owner and staff continued to make us feel at home, and the food we ordered was delicious. We were impressed by the excellent service and welcoming atmosphere of the pub, as well as the friendly locals. Thank you to everyone at The Wyndham for doing such a wonderful job!

Fantastic pub food! The service was excellent and the portions were generous, perfect for hungry festival-goers. And the best part? It's budget-friendly. The beer was also very enjoyable.

This lovely village pub is always welcoming. We ordered the mixed grill and scampi and chips, both dishes were well presented and delicious. I highly recommend visiting this fantastic, family-run pub in the heart of the village.

We went here on a lunch date and as soon as we walked in we were made to feel very welcomed by the lady behind the bar. We chose where to sit, my other half had an Otter bitter and I had an orange juice...and lemonade, both were brought to us and our order taken. There is a pool table so we had a game of pool and the gentleman behind the bar happily changed our coins to fit the table. After our game we managed to go past two beautiful dogs at the end of the bar and say hello. Food arrived and there was a lot of it! I had the Ploughman's and the other half had a Mixed Grill. He likes his meat and was very happily satisfied. The Ploughman's I chose was cheese but you could also have ham or a combination. It was very filling and a great combination of ingredients. Overall the service made this pub, you were made to feel so relaxed and welcomed, and the locals were lovely and smiled at us too. The food was good pub food and great for a healthy appetite and the price was very good. Thanks for a lovely lunch, we will definitely be back.

So good to have our local pub back serving delicious food, albeit a limited menu while the kitchen gets back up to strength. We had fish and chips, burger and chips and half chicken, salad and chips. All food arrived beautifully presented and good sized...portions. Lovely staff who were polite, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this great village pub.
