We made a 830 reservation for my brother in law’s birthday for ten. We all arrived at 830, and they told us they were getting our table together and asked us to wait by the bar. No problem. We moved over to the bar where for the next 20 minutes we were told by multiple employees that we need to move and we’re in the way. One even said “you aren’t ordering a drink and we need to you move for people who will order drinks”. We would have loved to move, but there was no where else to go and our table wasn’t ready. Finally, after 20 minutes, we asked about the table and they said it’ll probably be another 30-40 minutes for our table to be ready. They pointed to the table they were going to seat us at, and the party was still just browsing menus. There was no way they were going to be done eating in 30-40 minutes. We decided to leave and the only thing the manager could say was “you’re going to leave?!” Of course we’re going to leave! We had a reservation at 830. It was now 9pm and we were told it’d be even more time. We went next door to Milos and they were more than accommodating and had great food. If Papi Steak would like to consider themselves a high-end restaurant, they need to learn more about customer service.

I normally don’t care to write reviews but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. My party came to our scheduled reservation on time and we had to wait an hour. The hostesses were very rude and careless. I kept asking how much longer and no one could give me an answer. The hostess said we’re waiting for the previous table to order dessert. Literally an hour after we were supposed to be seated. If this was the other way around the restaurant would’ve charged us for not showing up on time. We ended up canceling the reservation and still had to pay valet parking for a wasted night. The worst birthday dinner experience I’ve ever had.The restaurant is also extremely small and they expect you to wait by the bar just for the security guards or whatever to be rude to you to get you out of the way. Servers running up and down trying to get by. The whole place is a mess !!!

Every thing we ate was spectacular. I highly recommend the waygu pastrami and the truffle corn.

Papi Steak is a great experience! I would highly recommend for any occasion!
