The Van Dyke - Miami Beach

Went 2 times, and I will go back again, great music and nice atmosphere.

The food was decent. Great place if you like to people watch!

Unlike another reviewer, I found the drinks to be quite good and I am pretty finicky about my beverages. I have had several different types of drinks here-white Russians-good; cosmos-good; so comfort Manhattan-good and so on. This is not my favorite place, but I always stop here at least once each stay. The bar is a very friendly spot, the bartenders are very friendly and fun; and it is also very nice to sit outside, although I usually do that at other spots on Lincoln Road. The jazz is great; I have stopped in and discovered people that I know from Rhode Island (RI) playing-what a surprise! Scott Hamilton, an alto sax player, was there one night, so I took him over to Spris for tiramisu on his break. Fun. Only negative thing that I have to say is that their ladies room is pretty dirty. Step up folks, you have a lovely spot; have some respect for your customers.

It was my birthday but I wanted some place classy. The Jazz club upstairs was excellent.

Sat outside with friends Sunday afternoon delicious ceviche, a little spicy but good. Pizzas, crab cakes and shrimp cocktail great. Ordered 2 bottles of champagne which were a little on the warm side, but service erased that. Our waiter André was super! Exciting ambiance, very amusing, relaxed, beautiful people. So sorry I had to catch a plane would've stayed! Definitely will be back!
