The Licking South Beach - Miami Beach

We sat fast. My waitress Tabi was amazing. But we really enjoy the food. The lemonade is very good and sweet as I like it. The roasted Broccoli and Steak Alfredo was different, but it was delicious anyway

The food and the service was great. Not only was out waiter nice and patient with many questions about the food, but the waiter from their next door bar was great. He came over and informed us about her Happy Hour Specials and we literally only had two minutes, but he still took our drinks orders and then delivered the drink to our table. That's good. The food was fantastic. I ordered the chickens and the red velvet waffles. I never had a red velvet cake or cupcake that tasted as good as those waffles. They were soft, fluffy, moist and I didn't even need syrup on them. I find myself on the flight home wish I had received an order to fly back. They were just so good. My sister ordered the chicken meal and she chose baked Mac Cheese and topped greens. The scratched greens will definitely send a deliberate moan escape from your mouth. Whoever the chef was on that day may have gone to the culinary art school, but they fried the chicken and cooked that eating like they spent their whole life in the kitchen with their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother watching and learning from them all. That was my first and only experience at The Licking. I found out they were restaurants in other major cities like mines. My BFF said they in my town can't compare with that in South Beach Miami. So if you are ever there please check them if you want to give your taste buds a wonderful experience.

I ordered the Fried turkey wings with Mac and cheese and ordered Yams. I was here before the pandemic and I have to say the food was good, but now it's better. Maybe they turned off the chefs and the recipes. Whatever is the case, keep the good work.

MY GO TO SPOT IN SOUTH BEACH EVERYTIME. IF YOU LOVE RAP MUSIC SOUL FOOD THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. I ADVISE YOU TO GO MID DAY BECAUSE DURING THE NIGHT THEY RUN OUT OF SIDES. I WAS UNABLE TO GET GREENS AND YAMS BECAUSE THEY WERE SOLD OUT BEFORE CLOSING TIME. HOWEVER THE WAITERS WERE GREAT AND FOOD WAS DELICIOUS.

The food was really good, I have to say the best on South Beach if you're looking for a southern style home cook meal. Four stars because the service wasn't good from my experience. Room for improvement in that area but definitely give this place a try.
