Impastato's - Metairie

The food was good, service was good (Nicolas was awesome) however the owner, Joe Impastato was very disrespectful!! I made reservations for 13 for 5:00 dinner [3 days prior to the engagement]. Not to mention they only had a set menu and didn't tell me.They made us sit at 2 different tables. After being there for a little over an hour, Joe himself came to our table and said we had been there long enough and that it shouldn't take that long to eat. They brought us a bill for$600.00 and said he did not have TIME to separate the check. I finally had to tell them that either the restaurant was going to eat the bill or they had to figure it out because nobody at my table was picking up that check! Worstexperience ever and I will never go back and support that restaurant!

One of the highlights of going back to were I grew up. The food is amazing from the fresh pasta to the best meatballs you can have. The service is impeccable the atmosphere phenomenal the music was great the host and owner warm welcoming gracious I can?t say enough, if you take a trip to New Orleans you must make Impastato?s a place to dine you won?t be disappointed so worth the trip. Thank you for a wonderful experience and a night to remember.

I'm not one for the evaluation much particularly bad, but last night was a terrible experience. four of us went to impastatos birthday. when we were there, nobody greeted us. several server passed without even recognizing us. not even a smile. After several minutes an older gentleman waits in one suit to get some of the theke, so I tell him we waited to sit. He tells me we have to wait for joe. (I think that was his name) when we knew why that was. finality joe comes to put us and how we go through the crowded restaurant, the same older gentleman in the suit cuts between 2 of us four and makes us a side so that he goes by. very rude. we talked! then we sit and brought in and no utensils or serviettes were on the table. my appetizer was wrong, so everyone else was ready when I got mine. my niece ordered a **** mary that tasted like pure sweet juice, so that they took it along and didn't bring it back about 15 minutes. I also asked that when the desert came, they surprise my friend and sing for her birthday, as I had observed, that several tables do this, but when it was time, the older man came back into the suit! He comes to the table and asks whose birthday it was. that made fun of it! the service took forever what is understandable in these times, but there were several employees who work so that I did not understand and now, while I eat the rest, I bite into a broth package. I'm done!

We had a table for 7 o'clock Saturday, 14 mai reserved for our daughter's conclusion. even though we had to sit, we had to wait for over 2 hours until our main course is served! my youngest daughter eats from the children's menu and therefore started eating 9 o'clock. we were then kicked out to go boxes that were distributed 10 minutes after our meal. they are seriously understated, there are many busboys, but no server. the waitress visited the 3 other tables around us all the time. how she could ignore that we were courses behind the other table set menu) is beyond me. they always said that the “food comes”. I had to ask the abrupt rude manager twice. I noticed that our back dining room was overcrowded and that the front dining room ran better and more efficiently. I will not return to impastatos. a finale should not be so hard work!

The food was good. service staff has done the best of their work. bar has serious...no campari, no aperol, no pimms, no amaretto, no prosecco. eat slowly come, but definitiw wait. will return, only not at a weekend.
