I have to say that the employees do a wonderful job to keep the place clean and tidy. The food prices are reasonable enough for a train station and the food is pretty good. I ended up with a roasted ham and buffalo mozzarella panini, which filled the place, it was only €4 that I think is good for the location and quality of food. It is a great place to burn a bit better trains when you are like me and have the 1122am train to Palermo, which means that I had to wait almost 2.5 hours since I arrived at the Lipari ferry this morning. It also feels much more convenient to wait for your train, the red chairs are more comfortable than the wooden benches in the main ticket room and you have Italian MTV playing to entertain you. You have many articles for long train trips such as books for adults, books for children, toys, snacks, child packs and many good takeaway food options. They even have fonzies, which is the Italian version of Twisties the essential Australian snack. They also have ice cream, gum, candy, 2 meter chocolate, several beers, ice tea, water and the usual and local soft drinks. I'm sure I'd have to evaluate it as my best station café. There is also plenty of space between tables if you have a few luggage that is always appreciated.

Friendly service from Guiseppi and good pastries with cafe.

Service is ok but they advertise things that they don't have.
