The service was excellent and the pizza was delicious but the wings were really chewy. Kind of like they had been cooked earlier then recooked later. Unfortunately, it was the wings we were craving so I doubt we'll be going back to that particular Native.
I used to come here a lot and was generally happy with the service. However, my recent visits have been terrible. My wife and I went in yesterday evening for some food and drinks. There was only one other couple in the dinning room and about a dozen or more at the bar. We sat in the dining area thinking we'll have a nice and quiet dinner; that was not the case. The dinning area was very hot and uncomfortable. We sat there for 15 minutes without anyone coming over to get our drinks. I walked to the front entrance and mentioned that to the hostess and she just apologized. She didn't say she would get somebody to serve us or anything. Needless to say I'll never return to this location.
I have been going to this Native on and off for over 20 years because of its proximity to the house. I would like to start by saying that I enjoy many of the employees and I feel they do a good/great job. But over time this particular Native has had many problems in the management department and our experience yesterday was the cause for me to want and post a negative review. We arrived at the Native for some drinks right after the SUNs Playoff game had just ended and apparently the bar emptied out at that time. We took seats at the bar and ordered a couple of beers. As we talked with the bartender, it was apparent that they had been slammed earlier with it being Father's Day and the Suns playoff being on, but management had only brought in to people for the front. So it was understandable that there were many glasses waiting to be washed and many tables waiting to be cleared. I took note that the general manager was present, but did not lend a hand or direct any activity to assist in the clean up, as a matter of fact, at the end of our brief visit, he sat at the bar, drank a beer with his Native shirt on (pretty much a NO-NO at all places). That is what made made me mad. As a manager and with the limited staff falling behind, you should be busting your butt to get the restaurant back to a presentable level, not sitting on it. I am providing three supporting pictures of the state of the bar and restroom well after the big crowd had left. My problem is that when we have problems at an establishment, it is usually the manager that you go to; to get things corrected, but if the manager seems to be the basis for the problem, you are left with posting a review.
Hello again foodies and shopper! Today I share my experience at a place I used to love, I say use to because back in the day this place was the place to go for yummy wings. Sadley today 11/ 2022 my recent last experience was very disappointing. I order some wings online, I made sure I order ahead so I would just go in, pick up and go. Well, I had to wait for about 5 to 10 min for someone to greet me and ask if I needed help, then another 35 to get my wings because they were not ready, and last but not the least, the wings were cold, terribly dry and not tasty at all. Is like they took left over wings from customers left overs plates to put my order together. Not recommending this place at all. I think that you are better off buying fresh wings and making them at home. Sorry chicken wings (Native Newyorker in Mesa, Az. place, but you did not made good wings for me!
