Bamboo - Merton

This is my local Chinese restaurant, but we had never tried before we were pleasantly surprised. the service was super fast the owners were so nice and friendly and eating was so good. it is definitiw rival more expensive, high-end restaurants that I was. the presentation of the food was nice and we had a few special questions how we eat with our small child, but nothing was too mush hassle. nb no high chairs available only in advance.

I'm ashamed to say I've never put up a Google review for the bamboo house. but that's probably because I've been around for a long time before there was even an internet, never thought to do it. we have celebrated so many places with them, and without failing had the best meals, with the most friendly service. I'm sorry you're closing. many thanks for all beautiful times, hope to see them before they close. teresa (lindas daughter)

Absolute gem of a restaurant in mitcham all places! great prices, beautiful staff, turns out that the family also runs!

Absolutely beautiful had my first Chinese meal with my wife it was very delicious freshly cooked. the staff was very friendly and we waited for our take, which gave us a free drink. we'll make sure we go back. Thank you all.

So sorry to hear the bamboo house is closing on 24th December, I've been going (like many others) since the 1960s, fantastic food, great service, lovely lovely staff, you will be greatly missed, good luck to you all enjoy your retirement, love to you all
