El Poblano Mexican - Merrillville

It was our first time at El Poblano. We were very impressed. The food was GREAT and there was a lot of it. The waiting staff was also GREAT, checked us and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a very nice culinary experience. If you're looking for a gREAT Mexican place in Merrillville, it's that! You'll be glad you stopped.

Everything was fresh, hot and at the point. I have a few more to take home tomorrow, wooo wheee! Forget to add when you dive, get free chips and salsa.

This is a delicious local Mexican restaurant that gets a lot of their menu options right! We didn't get their Birria tacos this time, but they should die! Tacos were good! The only thing I didn't care was the ground beef used in the Taco, except that- everything was delicious!

The food here was very good. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. The prices on the menu seemed very reasonable. This was my first time to visit this restaurant and probably I would board again if I were in the area.

BEST Birrias around. I tried El Poblanos ' Birria tacos and then Santo tacos ' (In Valpo) birria tacos the next day to see if I could get the same experience 'cause I live kinda far from El Poblano 's, and LET.ME.TELL.YOU.....El poblano 's birria tacos blew the competition out of the water. The shells were stiffer and the consome was wayyyyy tastier. Santo tacos consome tasted overwhelmingly of beef and nothing else and the shells were so soggy it all fell apart the second I picked it up, but El poblanos, boy....whew! I crave it. It 's solid, the second you lift that beautiful, cheesy, meat packed slice of heaven. Oh lawd I 'm drooling again..I wants it ??? Why I gotta live so far? ???
