El Fabuloso Pez - Mérida

What a great Friday we had at fabulouso, it’s cervazas always a hit with our drinking crowd. The food was perfect , the oysters were fresh and delicious..the beer ice cold ..the staff has become our new family..Edgar the boss spoiled us with tasty...tequila shots and Cesar our waiter was working to keep everything on point . Order after order walking by gave us all more ideas for next time ..all looked and tasted delicious..this is a must for you dining pleasure ..tell them Palmers sent you !

If you pick really well, you can have amazing seafood (and other) tacos at El Fabuloso Pez. Since they are quite small, you need to order two, three if you are really hungry. There are other dishes on the menu if you want something more...substantial, like the very good fried fish dinner my dad ordered, but the taco seems to be their specialty. They offer three kinds of taco base corn, wheat and wheat with cheese. On a GF diet, I stuck to corn and they were good. There are many choices order their excellent lemonade while you study the menu. (You might be finished that big lemonade by the time you decide There's shrimp, fish, octopus, lobster, all garnished with various interesting things, from mild to flaming hot. pesos for two tacos) My husband loved one of his and thought the other was okay. Mine were both great. The food is nicely presented. Service is good and the wait staff manage just fine in English. I'd go back any time and try some more!

Food are very well prepared, very good tacos, many choices and all delicious. The band was very good with a saxophonist. Great place. Suzanne

After all these years, Fabuloso Pez remains the best seafood in Merida! I eat here almost weekly and have tried many others, none come close to the quality and service as this GREAT North side restaurant.

Met friends there for a dinner on a weekday evening. It is all about the tacos here (for me). There were of us and only one did not have taco's. He ordered fried grouper and by the time he received it, we had all...finished our taco's. The tacos are really good, I had breaded shrimp on corn tortillas. Very filling. We also had beer/wine. It was close to closing but they did not rush us out.
