Cafe Restaurante Moncho - Mérida

Seems like it is back in an alley. The food is delicious!

This is a small restaurant located at the back corner of the artisan bazar. They have good service, and delicious food with a focus on Yucatec dishes.

Okay... it will require your attention to find here and eat... below a forehead crushed road (rouble if over 6 ft from street awnings) then until the end of a alley... They're coming to Cafe Moncho. I would say it borders the edge of the gringo fear meters, but give it a chance... You will see older men reading the newspaper and discuss the stories of the day.. Business people take a fast meal... all with fast food that comes hot and ready to chow. Excellent step ahead of street food... try it!

Moncho is really Merida, where locals gather. If you're not a local, you're not afraid. It's casual and friendly. Have a Coke and a huge sandwich or try sopa de Lima. The food was so delicious and at a very reasonable price
