Cafe Lucia - Mérida

We went here on the recommendation of the hotel staff. I was really disappointed with the quality of the food and the presentation. Our drinks were watery and not well prepared. They offer all these specialty cocktails which are essentially juice. They never offered to take another drink order. I ordered one empanada, my mother in law two. When I pointed out the error they just brought another plate and moved the one they “thought was right” over with a fork. That was it- for $60 pesos they will throw a tiny empanada in a plate. They would be better off to stick to what they know how to do and keep it simple.

We were staying nearby at a hotel that did not offer breakfast and needed to get an early start. The manager checked up on our order to be certain it was being prepared as quickly as possible. The three cheese omelette was very good as was the orange juice. The waffles, however, seemed to have a slight salty taste to them.

We ate breakfast here 2 days in a row. Excellent food and friendly service we recommend the waffles and green enchiladas! The only downside was the service is a bit slow, but the pace in Mexico in general is, so we had to adjust our pace.

Si desean comer algo rápido y bueno con sabor y calidad este es el sitio pero el café es terrible, muy mala calidad, el menú de desayuno es pequeño pero bueno y el precio es accesible se diferencia por ser pequeño pero acogedor, está situado al costado de la Iglesia de Santa Lucía q también es pequeña pero tiene un parque cruzando la calle que presenta actividades, música y diversión.

Excelente atención y la comida deliciosa el ambiente bohemio del lugar lo hace más acogedor
