Saffron Indian - Mendip

1 Star is 1 too many! Had the worst ever restaurant experience in our lives!!! All staff were super rude,especially towards the end when we worked out what happened complained trying to explain why we where unhappy. When asking about the different dishes I was not able to understand the waiter clearly just guessed. The starters we ordered where nice tasty, although I never had a garlic mushroom starter looking like mushroom soup! Waiter was chucking the dishes infront of us, not adding enough cutlery to each different one when we asked for more water the waiter stuck his fingers inside the glasses returned with the same but refilled! How awful disgusting is that? Our main dishes got mixed up with the table next to us but with no explanation of what dish is what we had no idea until we started to eat them. Which (luckily we don't have allergies or dietary needs) could have triggered an reaction! Not trusting to eat all the dishes which were put in front of us (they were super spicy we ordered mild medium spiced dishes) we complained and their attitude towards us turned unprofessional nasty. WE worked out the orders got mixed up but there was no apology. Staff made out we had this planned as we didn't want to pay in the first place, waving their finger at us and calling us rude. Unable to eat what we were giving I suggested to pay half but manager was not happy with it started being loud making out we were the bad guys. It totally spoiled ours the other couples experience and neither of us will ever return to this place. So be aware before you enter!

Myself and my daughter had such an amazing meal and great service, the food was perfection and Raj was wonderful with us.

We visited Saffron at lunchtime and the food was delicious and the waiter Raj was very friendly.We had out 5 yr old with us and Raj made sure she felt welcome and gave her a lollipop after her meal. We cannot fault the food in anyway.It was one of the nicest Indian meals we have had. We look forward to visiting again.

Saffron in Street is a must visit, and Raj is the MVP! From the get-go, he made us feel like VIPs. The restaurant has a great authentic vibe and the smells were a sneak peek into the feast ahead. Raj talked us through the menu like a true pro and hooked us up with a killer meal for my daughter and I. The Garlic Chilli Chicken was next level. Big up to Raj for the top-notch service and making our dad/daughter night one to remember. Saffron, you 're on our must-visit-again list!
