Pasty Presto - Mendip

The cakes and pastries at this restaurant are tasty but a bit pricey. Unfortunately, the half cup of coffee with froth was a letdown and not worth the cost. The baristas need to step up their game and offer better value for money. We'll probably just grab cakes to take away and get our coffee somewhere else.

I recently visited Clark's outlet in Street and decided to treat myself to a chicken and chilli sandwich at the Cornish bakery. Unfortunately, on Friday they were very busy and had completely run out. Laura, who took the rest of my order at the counter, asked another staff member to make a fresh sandwich for me, which she did happily. Dora then brought me a hot and delicious bacon and Brie sandwich while I waited for the chicken to cook (which was not yet available). I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich and the friendly banter with Dora. It was very kind of them to go out of their way on a busy day to accommodate me, and I truly appreciated it. What they didn't know is that I am diabetic and couldn't have any pastries or cakes instead, so I would have gone without food for my long drive home. The thoughtful and pleasant ladies made my day.

Great pasty and a lovely coffee excellent many thanks. Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Everywhere clean and tidy. It doesn't really get better than this!

Went to this cafe today just for a quick coffee. Excellent service and very friendly and chatty staff, could not fault them.

Popped in for a work meeting, was welcomed with super friendly and helpful staff! To top it off, I walked away with one of the best flat whites I have tasted! Thank you!
