Purple Garlic - Melton

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We are fortunate to have such a fantastic Indian restaurant in our town; there are others, but none compare to this one.

While passing through Melton Mowbray from the West Midlands, we made a reservation at Purple Garlic. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The restaurant was initially quiet but quickly became busy. Our starters and main courses were outstanding, the chicken being cooked perfectly. We complimented the chef on the delicious meal. The prices were reasonable, and if we find ourselves traveling through the area again, we will definitely return.

We have been loyal fans of Purple Garlic since it first opened and it remains our top choice in Melton. The staff is very friendly, the menu offers a variety of tasty dishes at reasonable prices. We always feel warmly welcomed and the staff goes out of their way to make sure we have a pleasant dining experience. While the restaurant is on the smaller side and can get crowded, it is recommended to make a reservation, especially on weekends. Our five-year-old son enjoys visiting as well, as the staff treats him like a VIP. My personal favorite dish is the kofta capsila, a delicious combination of chicken tikka wrapped in minced lamb, served in a bhuna sauce. For those looking for another recommendation, the Purple Garlic Karahi is also a must-try!

Recommended locally and the restaurant accommodated us for an evening meal at short notice. Courteous staff, with great Indian food, all served promptly. Happy customers. Thank you.
