Frutt Lodge - Melchsee-Frutt

We were glad to see Frutt Bar after a long hike. While the building is quite boring from outside, inside it is beautifully decorated and the view is amazing. All this positivity was quickly ruined by the service. We sat at a table that was not cleaned yet. 10 minutes later, when the waiter finally came to us, we were aggressively told not to sit before the table was cleaned (Covid rules). We got up, left him clean and set back. The waiter then returned to take our order. There was never a greeting, never a smile, never a friendly word. It was like we're disturbing him. An inspiring experience that gives us the feeling of feeling less suffering for an industry that is struggling during the Covid19 crisis.

It's a little pricy, but a beautiful place. The food is good and the rooms are beautiful. The spa is quite small, but still very nice and relaxing.

We had breakfast and dinner at the Titschli Restaurant of Frutt Lodge. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of hot/cold food and fruit, and friendly service. Dinner was also good, and given the price of the hotel, the food was actually cheap. Good choice.

The food was nice and at a decent price for Swiss standards. We had 2 lunches which we enjoyed and 1 dinner. What we enjoyed the most was the breakfast buffet!

The salad was fresh and well prepared, but the Cordon-Bleu was a little disappointing as the cheese was a bit strange and the meat was quite dry.
