Tadka Hut Indian Restaurant - Melbourne

I ordered food from here twice now, via doordash. You wont find 'Tadka Hut ' on Doordash, as they use '$6 Curries ' to draw you in. My first order constituted of 2 packs. Each pack had half curry, half rice a naan. I also ordered Gulab Jamun as a dessert. <br/ <br/ Over the next 2 days, following that meal I was sick, which honestly wasn 't good as I was back at work. <br/ <br/ The curries themselves weren 't bad, but I was sick for 2 days because of one of them. The portion sizes for the price wasn 't bad, but the quality of the food wasn 't great. I guess you get what you paid for. The Naan seemed kinda fake, and not freshly made. <br/ <br/ The Gulab Jamun were the best ones I 've had in awhile. They were soft and made well. Not overly sweet. <br/ <br/ Initially I gave them a 3 star, but bumped it up to 4. They lost a star as I got sick.

Great food and at a very good price. Most other restaurants in the area are quite pricey

I ordered a delivery for Chicken Biryani , goat curry , chicken curry raita naan and rice . This is by far the best meal I've had as far as indian food. The curries were spicy as i ordered them to make. The naan was a bit soggy but everything else was just fantastic . I highly recommend this place to all people who love flavourful indian food rather than those serving cashewnut paste mixed in red color. Thumbs up from my side .

Great Indian food! Value for money. Will surely want to visit again. <br/ <br/ Firstly, the order was taken quickly and served hot within 15 min. I can’t eat spicy food, so had given special instructions. <br/ We had ordered Garlic naan, Lacha paratha, veg kadai and veg biryani with raita. <br/ <br/ Next to my surprise they served complementary fried papad and chutneys to keep us occupied till our main order was served. <br/ <br/ Highlight for me was the food, it tasted yummm. When I ask people to make less spicy or baby food they serve it bland. But here, the flavors of the masalas made me just eat it all. <br/ <br/ Add ons beautiful decor, soothing music (both English and Hindi), clean washrooms and great service. <br/ Not to forget the restaurant had good flow of mixed culture customers, phone orders and uber eat deliveries.

We had a great experience with this Indian restaurant, with our order being delivered and the food being absolutely exceptional. The butter chicken had a delicious flavor but lacked in portion size. The tikka was also delicious but could have had more pieces of chicken. Overall, everything was tasty, including the perfectly cooked rice and flavorful garlic naan. We would give this place a 5/5 if they improved the serving size.
