Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant has a trendy interior with lots of neon lights, but that's about all it has going for it. I ordered the Curry Rice with Chicken Schnitzel, which was just okay and nothing too special. I also tried my friends' Korean Fried Chicken and Pork Belly Dosirak, but they were also just average. While it may be a good spot for a date due to its ambiance, it's not the best choice for quality food.
The seasoned vegetables paired well with the flavorful meat in the bibimbap. We also ordered the Beef Bulgogi Dosirak and the Grilled Beef Steak Meal Bucket. The potato croquette on most dishes was a tasty addition. However, the Dosirak had less beef compared to the bibimbap, and the Grilled Beef Steak was tough. The salad was a bit too sour for my taste. I have had other dishes at Oppa Kitchen in the past. The bibimbap is the standout dish, while the curry dishes are flavorful but can be a bit grainy. The fried chicken and rice cakes can be a little dry and salty from the marinade. Overall, Oppa Kitchen offers affordable and enjoyable meals perfect for a lunch break or catching up with friends.
I should have ordered the bibimbap in the stone bowl. Overall, I thought the restaurant was just alright, but my husband really enjoyed it.
Oppa kitchen is a causal restaurant in the heart of Melbournes CBD offering inexpensive korean food. While the portions look small; the food itself is rather wholesome. My personal favourite dishes are the meat buckets and the boneless korean fried chicken. Order both and you won’t leave hungry! This spot is perfect for a cheap and quick lunch or dinner.
I ordered a Grilled Beef Steak Bucket, and oh boy, it was good! I love how the charcoal taste lingered in the meat enhancing the flavor. Also, it was well cooked. The meat was not dry and tough. The meal was also comprised of leafy greens, half of a potato croquette, a slice of cucumber and an orange, and with the rice splashed with a bit of the beef sauce. <br/ <br/ It looks like a simple meal, but once tasted, gets better and better. <br/ <br/ Downside is the size. If you are a big eater, this may not be enough. However, I am happy with the portion as it filled my belly just right. <br/ <br/ Post lockdown, Oppa Kitchen was doing well. Physical (Social) Distancing was observed and sanitizers were available. <br/ <br/ Will surely come back for more!
