Bidrage med feedbackI went to dinner at a restaurant with a visually appealing sushi train, but it mostly featured the same items. There were some laughs and people practicing something, along with a few salad options. I was disappointed to find no spring rolls, dumplings, dimsims, calamari, or a good selection of California rolls. The staff was friendly and the food was clean and tasty, but there was a lack of variety overall.
The appearance and design of Makoto is that of a well-designed sushi train, there were some obvious thoughts and care in this regard; and the staff is attentive, courteous and fast, so that no part of my review reflects on it. I just found the food to be unnoticed, and I'm generally quite satisfied when it comes to sushi, but Makoto was just... average. There are many better options in Melbourne.
This was a satisfactory lunch, as the dishes were well presented, but I wished there had been more variety in the menu. The food was fresh and tasty, and the staff was excellent. I would recommend this place for a decent meal with good service.
The only really good thing for it was the price $3,80 per dish on the train, which is why we decided to eat in this place instead of the one around the corner. Sushi rice was dry. Not too much change. Would rather pay a...bit more for freshness and quality.
I liked the concept of sushi train so didnt push back when my sister suggested this place as we were in a hurry for a show. The kakeage sushi was ok. I had better but it was alright. I got a donburi oyakodon. While...the broth was flavorful I didnt like the chicken as it was too dry. I could make it better at home. Overall this is a just ok place if you are in a rush. But since there are more food options in Emporium one would not miss out of they went somewhere else.
