No wonder it's known as one of the best cake shops in the city. Despite of it being a little pricey, it was worth it given the quality of the cake I had.<br/ <br/ Finally got a chance to try their signature Brownie Passionfruit Chocolate Gateau! It had this crispy chocolate layer on the top along with refreshing passionfruit and thick chocolate mousse layers which gave off this silky smooth rich flavour perfect amount of sweetness with a hint of acidity from passionfruint. It's also has this thick layer of chocolate glaze on top to give that additional chocolate kick. Overall, it was a beautiful masterpiece : Can't wait to visit again to try their other cakes heard their lemon tart is also popular!
When it comes to cakes and dessert you know they have got your sorted! <br/ <br/ I ordered the passionfruit and brownie cake and it was really good. It was a favourite among my friends and i really enjoyed the textures and flavours of the cake<br/ <br/ It had just the right balance between the flavours and it was not too sweet<br/ <br/ Really enjoyed the desserts here
I was stoked that Pat at work celebrated his 25th year of service to the organisation because it meant a cake from Le Petit Gateau... this time a flourless orange which was well worth the calories... seems to becoming a trend in the team ... which is hardly a bad thing.<br/ <br/ Previous Review<br/ Happy Birthday Joti. Great things come from Le Petit Gateau it seems so when we had some workplace birthday cake catering to organise it kind of made sense. Delicious dense chocolate with a thick layer of 'lite ' smooth silky ganache. Very rich so only the smallest sliver required. This cake was texturally perfect and judging by the number of clean plates everyone enjoyed it. If I 'm honest a chocolate cake would never be my top pick but I could certainly appreciate the effort and quality that went into this one.
The steady stream of people pouring into the store is enough advertising. It 's taken us this long to visit because it 's not open on weekends.<br/ <br/ We can see the kitchen where the magic happens but the eyes instantly popped at the glass counter where the beautiful cakes are displayed, inducing the all too familiar 'eyes too big for stomach ' problem.<br/ <br/ The Lychee Blush was light and delicate, with each element playing its part in the taste symphony. The raspberry compote centre is surrounded by a light lychee mousse and a pistachio crumble base. In contrast the Thai Milk Tea was rich with layered cream cheese, butter cream and Thai tea ganache. Both were too good to pass 'Go '.
Last month my office bought one for my birthday, just realised the cake belongs to this store!!! Sooooo nice!!!!
