Bidrage med feedbackThis place is amazing the best food and coffee we had the whole week we visiting Melbourne. Freindly staff relaxed Atomsphere, definately worth it when looking for somewhere to eat.
On a sunny Autumn Monday around 9.30am we were delighted to unexpectedly find Gordon’s cafe when cutting through The Causeway from Little Collins St to the Bourke St Mall whilst seeking a relaxed breakfast venue with a classic menu. Despite the fact that 3 metres opposite there is a building site for the new metro, Gordon’s very clean, tidy, welcoming and spacious interior with its numerous retro installations was a haven of calm in contrast to the grungy crowded laneway options elsewhere in the CBD. The selection of 60s music was a soothing soundtrack too. The staff were quietly attentive and unassuming and the all day breakfast menu focused on the ‘classics’ which were served promptly. Coffees were excellent too. We were told that Gordon’s has been operating for 30 years and the mix of happy regulars and tourists pointed to the fact that the proprietor has been providing customers with quality fare at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere and characterful interior long term, and despite the challenges of the adjacent ongoing work. We will be back.
Excellent food, good service and reasonably price. Great place for lunch. Ideally located off the Bourke st Mall close to Myer and David Jones
A great Cafe for breakfast or lunch. Located in laneway off Bourke St mall. The food was great and the service was even better.
The apple juice is the main reason we come here. It's amazing. The bacon and eggs aren't too badly priced. My poached this time around I could really taste the vinegar which was quite offputting. It's quite a busy little business.
