The Nomad Cafe - Melbourne

Great little place with a beautiful atmosphere. the service was excellent. Vegan options are marked on the menu and they look forward to asking for vegans. that was delicious. we will definitely come back!

Their vegan options are in order, but too expensive for what they get

I gave this place two tries. both visited led to burned, old eating and unhappy experiences. they serve burned dry eating, the $20 vegan burger was overcooked and coarse, and the duck and brautsandwich has hardly escaped or brie. the owner ignored polite emails and does not care when they paid the bill. I guess farm to table expenses, but serving unreasonably cooked meals is inappropriate.

We started with the guacamole app and I found it a bit under season. we added extra salt, pepper and hot sauce. the avocado was left in large pieces and hardly smashed, but the house made chips were fantastic. our entrees were better - we had the vegan burrito and the veggie salat with a chic heap “crab” cake. the crumb cake was phenomenal and the salad was so delicious. when we go back, we will definitely be more of the “crab” cake!

My husband and college age son visited. Hubby and I are vegan and son is vegetarian. We ordered the guacamole to start. It was delicious. We were all happy with our dinner selections too. The waitress was very warm and offered many accommodations to the meals to make them vegan for us. Many entrees were easily made vegan with the tweaking of an ingredient. My only issue was the Sangria was very inconsistent. My first one was delicious, but the second was not good at all. All in all, I will definitely return to this restaurant on our next visit to Melbourne.
