Dick And Jane's Martini - Mebane

Update: went 10/26/19: We went with my wife and son and my inlaws. We had a great time. We got some walking dead Chardonnay and I got declaw key lime beer. It was all very good. We got patty melts and my son got a grill cheese. It was all excellent. Props to chef. It was excellent. We got the pomento cheese. Let me tell you that stuff is super duper. Overall everything was great. I would remind the place to enjoy a nice quite time. Good job guys. Past review: So first I am not sure why people give this place a bad review. A lot of what is said seems pretty petty like having to wait 15 min was to much wait really. So I would just like to say I love this place. Me and my wife went there for our 12 anniversary. The server was super polite and very personal able. He was a great server. We got a table outside and it nice and quite were we could talk calmly. We got some tapas to share and yes the beer is limited but it's not called tapas and beer it's called tapas and martinis My wife got a wonderful Malbec. And yes I got a beer from haw river brewery. All and all it's great experience. Thank you for a wonderful date.

Terrible service, waited over 40 minutes for our food and are now leaving without it. This is the second time now. I generally dont write bad reviews after one attempt.

Creative cocktails, good apps. I feel like the alcohol quality could be elevated somewhat, however. It was somewhere between strong fruity drinks I had in college to get drunk, and a high quality craft cocktail. The pimento cheese was good, but the crackers were ritz style, no artisan pita points or toast, which would much improve it. Would go back if a friend really wanted to, but probably not on my own.

Solid restaurant in downtown Mebane, with bomb drinks and a cozy atmosphere. I came here one Thursday evening, after a pretty decent review from my neighbor. My husband and I ordered the Gummy Bear Martini and Lemon Drop Martini, Chilli Shrimp, Roast Beef Brioche, and Burger. The Gummy Bear Martini and the Burger (with pimiento cheese) were delicious and extremely satisfying. I didn't even need a side order because the Burger was pretty big. I preferred the Gummy Bear Martini over the Lemon Drop Martini, but both were pretty decent. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the Chilli Shrimp and Roast Beef Brioche. We were disappointed by both tapas. However, the servers were friendly and the outdoor seating area is very inviting. For a moment, I forgot I was in small-town Mebane. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking to hang out in Mebane, but I'd recommend coming slightly full stomach and ordering an appetizer and Martini. I'll be back to Dick Jane's Martini Tapas Bar for a Gummy Bear Martini and a Pimiento Cheese Burger! I may even try Nachos (although they aren't my fave) since the Yelp reviews are so good.

Great drinks and fun folks. Love the burger, tots and shrimp tacos. Chicken wings a great start with a martini.
