Hickory Creek Barbecue - McMinnville

Today I took an out of town guest for the beautiful fall drive to McMinnville to eat BBQ. Once we arrived it was great to see my old Buddy at Hickory Creek ,the proprietor. Not wanting to make decisions I did the no brainer, and ordered a sandwich, just tobe sure I ordered two. That was a mistake as they were so big I couldn't finish one! My guest couldn't finish all of his either.Our problem. Wow they were Great. But too big,lol. I hope I am able to return, I'm leaving Tn. And work my way through themenue. Just like I like it, simple no frills with the focus on Good Food done right!

I feel that a larger operation would run more smoothly. Other than that, the family meal fed us for a couple days. The mild bbq sauce is pineapple sweet.

Quick friendly service. Good portion sizes. Really wish they had pulled chicken for BBQ nachos. The chicken leg quarter was excellent, though!

Best BBQ in town. Employees are the best. You get a lot of food for your money. The homemade potato salad is awesome. Love them all

The loaded nachos are to die for. Seriously, try them.
