I was in the area today and craving oxtails, so I decided to go to Golden Krust. However, after a customer at the restaurant convinced me to try Pete's instead, I ended up purchasing oxtails from there. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the oxtails. As someone who comes from a Jamaican family, I have high standards when it comes to Jamaican cuisine. The oxtails I tried at Pete's were extremely bland and seemed to be cooked with flour or baking soda. They lacked the traditional flavors of country peppers, thyme, and other usual ingredients. Considering the high price of oxtails, I expected the meat to be exceptional, but it was far from it. I ended up feeling sick to my stomach after eating them. In my opinion, Golden Krust is a much better option than Pete's for oxtails.
