Southern Fried - McAllen

Hands down the best fried fish and garnel around. the riders were also very good. we took our food to go, but the ambiente in the restaurant was very cozy and welcoming. the personal was also very friendly and accommodating. my man and I enjoyed immortalizing the historical photos of the old mission at the registertheke, while our food was prepared. the owner (Bobby...sorry, if I mispelled) came to welcome us and was very friendly. she sent us with our order and an amazing tasty suppe that she wanted us to try. I am so glad that she did this because this suppe was great! I even called the restaurant to tell her. I don't know why we waited so long to try southern fried, but I guarantee it won't take long until we get back.

The fish was great, the garnels were good, but the pommes were from the chain. I shared my offers with my granddaughter, but they were somehow slandered and too much on the outside. do not understand me wrong, they were juicy and well cooked, but needed a little season.

We have dined in this spacious house that has been converted into a fine dining room. Baked fish is their speciality and agricultural raised catfish is the star attraction. the shares are large and the prices are reasonable. a gentle, wheelchair accessible ramp is convenient for parking.

Absolutely loved this place. the seafood were great. service was super.

Omg let me tell you about this place at first we didn't know what expect . Let me tell you the owner and staff are so friendly caring always smiling and has great costumer service . They make you feel like family and your at home now let me talk about food omg you need to have there grandma plate comes with shrimp and fish with 2 sides when I first bit it was amazing Cajun season on it beautiful and amazing flavors the fries as well was well done with Cajun season we also tried the tenders also with there famous season Cajun it delicious if you ever want good southern food restaurants recommendations it would be good old southern fried restaurant in mission Texas by the way on Conway . that's why I am giving the owners and staff a 5 star rating great job guys keep up the good work make us feel the southern cooking one word to describe it amazing!
