Bidrage med feedbackUnbelievable. The cook is nothing less than an artist. Beautiful mood and beautiful staff. The grill adds an incredible smoky taste that I have been here 6 times in two weeks and am surprised every time Full Red Snapper, mahi mahi Filets, beautiful steaks and the best grilled pulpo I have ever had. You can cook grill your food before you. This place is the biggest secret in Mazunte.
Great casual restaurant with delicious. Very unpretentious, good atmosphere that feels like mazunte. The menu changes every night and prices are very affordable. Everything was delicious, but the plates that came from the grill were the ones that really shined. The bone marrow was exquisite. We were sad that we couldn't get the octopus. Our server Neri was super friendly and had great vibes. Would come back.
Wow! The atmosphere, food, location and general mood of this place is amazing. The cook obviously takes care of his restaurant, and it shows. Servers are friendly, attentive and speak both English and Spanish. While I was in Mazunte, I visited twice.... Both times had a completely different menu. The first time I had one of the best vegetarian quiches I ever had the pleasure of tasting (completed with caramelized onions, mushrooms and cheese) and an incredibly fresh, unique, and well-flavoured ahí tuna ceviche with dill. The second time I had only one can of equis beer and the most tantalizing, tasteful and creamy sopa de aguacate (Avocado soup) I think this has been specified. Bright green, creamy, with an amazing cream. I would recommend this place to anyone who travels or lives in Oaxaca. Seriously, you won't regret it, especially if you like good food.
This was a bit of a let down for me. The place is beautiful, service was fast and charming, and drinks were great, too. My partners dish was really good, but I wasn't impressed by the food I got. Maybe it was just a matter of taste but I found both the starter (eggplant caviar) and main dish (fish with maracuya sauce) to be rather bland and too sour.
Disappointed. I had heard so many great reviews from locals. Maybe we hit them on an off night? Staff and chef are very nice and the place has a great vibe. The food on the other hand was hit and miss. Saw a couple tables send food back and others (like us) hardly eat some items after one or two bites. The pros: good sized servings, fresh local ingredients, and fresh fish cooked perfectly. The cons: dishes were bland and generally poorly seasoned. Vegetarian dishes were particularly bad. Stuff zucchini was not edible. For the price I am not sure that I would risk going back. $700 peso would get multiple great meals elsewhere in town.
