Bidrage med feedbackGranada hotel has large airy rooms with high ceilings, well maintained. but not in sight. each room has a balcony facing trees, then a parking space. the restaurant in the hotel is excellent, both outdoors at the beautifully illuminated pool or inside. the meat and fish are cooked on a grill outdoors. the pool is heated and quite beautiful and very quiet. the walk from the hotel to any other el cid restaurant, beach or larger swimming pool with activities, is a lonely 15 to 20 minutes treck over a road pass, through the castilla hotel, through a passage of small shops. in the night we were disturbed by loud car and truck engines, all night over, music, vocal and screaming on the road, traffic and general city road activity. granada is the most expensive of the hotels in el cid and therefore we stayed there to expand our points for more time in el cid. during our stay we used all other el Cid properties. I was very impressed by the attention I got from the el moro pool director, juan. He went out of that to help me track my life jackets every day. he was so kind. I also appreciated the professional and excellent service we received from guillermo, waiter in the Mexican restaurant la cascada. the ceasar of the pool activities at the pool of castilla is a warm care person. the entire staff in every el Cid property is the best notch.
Hotel granada is a very good choice if you want to save money or extend membership points to enjoy mazatlan a longer time that many people do. it is very clean, the rooms are large. it has a great pool with warm water, soothing...music and a beautiful atmosphere. breakfast around the pool was a pleasant experience. excellent eating. they can easily reach the entire city by bus or pulmania or even to foot, right in front of the door. all restaurants, swimming pools, beaches, bars and activities in the other three el cid resorts are available free of charge. that the balcony and windows have no views. the beach is located above the road, which is 10 or 15 minutes to walk, because they have to cross a bridge and go through 2 hotels to get there. in the pool there is no lunch. because the hotel is located on the main street of mazatlan, it is very loud at night with sirens, car-motors, busses, etc. we like to keep windows in the night open, but that was impossible. close the window reduced the noise much. mazatlan is famous for its sunsets. there is no possibility to see a sunset from this hotel. we used hotel granada as a home base, but were able to use all the el Cid properties from there. our favorite waiters were daniel and eddy on the terrace. daniel is always friendly and so professional. his service was impeccable. the 4 beautiful vip elite concierges were so helpful! dante was the most wonderful active and his Spanish courses were a joy. their pupils love them!
We spent some time here. visited by el cid. swimming pool is on the smaller side, but many outdoor seating, protected by the wind and less children. the older quantity hangs here and I understand why. relax. golf on the ground, exercise equipment, massage. and train classes.
We’ve been coming to Mazatlan for 4 years now and each visit gets better. This time we were in Maz for Easter weekend. Wow what a party THAT is!! One of the pulmonia drivers said population probably doubled. The Malecon was PACKED with people We...played 6 rounds, El CID, Marina Mazatlan, and Estrella del Mar. Estrella by far the best condition. At El CID caddies are required and we have enjoyed their company for the past 4 years and established great friendships with Aurelio, Jose,Librado,Martin, and Miguel. Finished the week with a trip to the Caddies bar, Dunia’s. the Hotel staff were excellent, Alexis, Ana, Ruben, Rojo, Julian, and Dario at El Patio and Tomas, Ernesto and Cesar at the Pergola were amazing. Great to be back and looking forward to next year!!!
