Bidrage med feedbackStumbled on this place one afternoon. It is by the beach volleyball courts and you do get an ocean view through the volleyball courts and also an ocean breeze. Not a big place, with a few tables outside on a wood deck and a few tables inside. If you are tired of Pacifico or Corona, had Indio and Dos XX Amber beer available for 20 pesos. Food was good.
We searched for this place a couple days ago and could not find it but just happened upon it today - it is tucked away slightly off the beach behind a beach volleyball court. Turn down the side road/alley at Senor Frog's and walk towards the beach, it is on the right. We sat outside at a table in the sand. The drinks were good with some unusual as well as regular selections. The food was tasty - I had the Reggae wrap which was so yummy. Hubby had the fish and chips, son had a Caesar salad and daughter had fries (really good!) and chicken fingers which were very good if you like HOT food. Thoroughly enjoyable food, great music, nice quiet location. The waitress spoke no English although we had no difficulty ordering with a mixture of Spanglish and pointing to the menu. The service was a little slow although it was relaxing to sit and enjoy our drinks and listen to the music which was not your usual 70s rock but modern alternative/pop? I would definitely consider returning another time. Cudos!
Run by a local fluent in English this new spot really impressed me.They have an amazing drink menu and a creative menu with great food and shaded tables on the beach! An authentic Mazatlan experience, I would highly recommend! A very safe and enjoyable atmosphere.A stones through from Panchos, just ask any local its a block down a side street on the beach.
Came here today for a drink and a lunch. It is right on the beach so I sat with my feet in the sand listening to banda. I was the only one there but that's not unusual for this time of year. I'm so glad I stopped. I ordered a Mai Tai which is now my new favorite drink. It is made with light rum, dark rum, orange liqueur, almond syrup and sugar and sour mix. It was delicious! Then I ordered some lunch. I chose the Bang Bang Shirmp. It is crispy fried shrimp with a sweet and spicy sauce on it. It was also delicious. The breading probably wasn't my favorite but the shrimp was plump and flavorful and the sauce was the bomb! The serving was incredibly generous and I couldn't finish even half of it. It was 110 pesos. The drink was 70 pesos. Service was very good and the waiter spoke good English. The menu was in Spanish and English. They have an interesting menu including Hawaiian Pig, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Marinated Octopus, Reggae Wrap, Cuban Sandwich, Braised Short Ribs. Beer is 20 pesos which is very reasonable as several places have risen their prices this year. It will be interesting to see how this place does once the season gets going. It's worth checking out. Let me know what you think.
A hidden must in the heart of the golden zone. Very cool and down to earth. Great salads and chicken.
