Oak Alley Cocktail - Maynooth

Excellent southern American style cuisine. Surprisingly large inside with seating upstairs. Service was fast and pleasant. Lunch menu for starters €5 €10 mains.

Went on a Saturday night to the cocktail bar upstairs. Was pretty busy and while the cocktails were good, the bar staff did a very poor job of sequencing and serving customers, leaving some people waiting over 20 minutes at the bar to order. When asked politely, the bar staff eventually deigned to serve some of the people at the bar, but with an attitude that seemed to suggest they were doing them some kind of favor. Perhaps the service is better other evenings when it's less busy. Didn't try the food as another table of people I spoke to told me that they had already ordered a second time because their first order had not arrived after 45 minutes. Disappointing.

Friday evening 6.40 reservation. proven to be shown a comfortable 4 person table with reservation. starter calimari, bruchetta and pate with the main luinguini gambretti, two very fine chicken dishes and fine chili taste pasta dish, all delicious and well prepared. the cocktails were very good and peroni on cold designs and served in a very clean pint glass. very satisfied with the superior prosecco (gold,) which the house offers. total flour more than expected and service in all more than expected. thanks especially to marta and milosl (please apologise if they spell incorrectly) to remember a quiet, relaxing family celebration. thanks to the managements too.
