Dome Maylands

What a fantastic place for breakfast. Had never heard of Dome before happening on this place. Had and excellent breakfast. Good food, great value, nice atmosphere, fast service. Excellent.

Went with a friend on a cold day and found the experience to be quite exhausting. The place was so noisy, tables not cleared and though the waiters were run off their feet the service was very slow. My friends food arrived quite a while before mine and when mine did arrive (soup) it was just warm. If they had not been so busy I would have sent it back.

Your can never satisfy everyone - especially if they don't read the menu and ask questions.This was the case with our latest visit to Dome.I chose the Big Breakfast, always a solid start to the day,even if it is really a brunch this time.I saw the photo and thought it was fried eggs and wasa little miffed when I received poached, which I hate.My companion wanted crispy bacon. It was not.SO - ask ! Entirely our own fault.Hot chocolate and coffee were excellent.Wait staff need to improve.Overall a good place on a chilly morning.We will return!

Went to this coffee shop as part of a group. If you want some water you get it yourself. And they use the big disposible cups rather than re-usable glasses. I had a caesar salad which was very very average. (trying to be kind) And I have had a few of those salads in my life. Worst part is the toilets though. They are just disgusting. You wonder if the staff use the same toilets and prepare the food after. They just "stink". It would be better to renovate them and charge a small amount for use. And they don't care much for the environment considering the disposible cups for water. In most places these days they put some glasses on the table with a bottle of water. Here you are told to get it yourself.

Had an amazing salad for lunch, the dressing was delish. Staff were very helpful - only downside is the toilets are way out the back, it's a bit of a maze to get to them.
