The House of Pie - Matraville

The beef burgundy chunky pie is delicious! Enjoyed it heaps. When you walk through the door you smell the freshly baked pies which is awesome! Great range of pies at decent prices. However, service was a bit underwhelming and lady serving could have been more inviting

Old school favourite here : !!! Man i used to come past here at least 5 days a week for lunch, dinner or the best midnight snacks haha!!!<br/ <br/ 7 eleven is very conveniently across the road. Both places being open 24 hours you got to mix n match!! I used to get 2 potato pies 2 plain pies with 1 or more pink frosting cupcakes or anythong else sweet and tasty looking with a 1 1/2 litre slurpee from across the road. Food Coma completed !!<br/ <br/ As much as I did love this place and Swore it being the best pie shop in Sydney... its lost its touch.. I can only give it 3 stars seeing as the pastries are always delicous i did know the pastry chef or maybe still do its been so long since my last visit also that it's a family business : !!<br/ <br/ Was once my favourite but not anymore.. all the best of Luck to any Family businesses out there :D!!!

Pies here are freshly made and the pastry and contents taste that way. I’ve quite liked the shepherd’s pie which has a good burst of flavour upon biting into it. The coffees are alright but it really depends on who’s making them and the same goes for the service. I’ve also tried the lamington which was alright but didn’t seem to have the freshness of the pies. <br/ <br/ The interior has recently undergone a renovation to make it more contemporary and pleasing but I find the seating could be better and more comfortable. Usually the pies are taken away.

Staff are lovely and welcoming. There is ample parking or the car park behind the retailers you can access through the medical precinct. Went with family with two young children. There is a variety of sweet and savory pies, hotdogs to chocolate eclairs. It’s available 24/7 7 days a week. You can dine in or take away. simply irresistible taste good!

Honestly some of of the best pies I’ve ever had, proper ingredients and packed with flavour!
