Awesome Service and an Indian getting good authentic Punjabi cuisine in Marikina cooked by an Pinay Chef was another Bonus.... Truly enjoyed!
My wife and I visited here for the first time just last night and, although this review is based on just one dinner encounter, we were quite impressed. We aren 't novices to Indian cuisine, having eaten it throughout Southeast Asia, and at many Indian-owned eateries in the States. In short, the food was excellent, the service was great and the ambiance of this rather offbeat restaurant venue was very nice and comfortable. The dishes we chose were powerfully and richly spiced, with the thick, time-consuming gravies that are hallmarks of good Indian cooking. We were picking out pieces of spices such as small fragrant leaves, cloves and sections of plant bark which, again, attests to the authenticity of the food. I mention that the venue is different because the restaurant is essentially in the living room of a converted townhouse. At first it seemed odd, but soon we literally felt right at home . They even had their flat screen TV turned on and tuned to the Asian Food Channel...a nice touch that fit perfectly with our dining experience there. It was a very enjoyable evening, and two thumbs up to the Punjab Grill, its cooks and its wait staff!
The only thing that is superb in this restaurant is their yogurt and everything else is mediocre. Most of the food in their menu are not available.
