Soul Kitchen - MATERA

We booked Soul Kitchen on a recommendation from our hotel and was so glad we did. It was my Husbands 60th birthday whilst in Matera and we spent his birthday evening here. The staff decorated his table and surroundings and could not do enough for us that evening. The food was exquisite from the starters to the dessert. The chef made us a complimentary black truffle slices which were delicious. He also made a special birthday cake for us which was also fantastic. The staff were all very attentive to our needs and made our night so special. Thank you ever so much Soul Kitchen.

Outstanding out best dining experience from 5 days in Matera! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner through delicious food delivered with professional and friendly service. For first courses we had the superb potato ravioli and the cavatelli with mushrooms. For secondi we both thoroughly enjoyed the (super tender) beef medallions in a red wine sauce. Top complete a memorable meal we shared (at our waiter’s recommendation) a pana cotta topped with a caramelised pepper coating and a drizzle of olive oil this was a wonderful taste surprise. Without doubt this is a very fairly priced restaurant serving superb food and should be a ‘must visit’ on your travels to Matera.

The food was outstanding. Especially the ravioli and the Pannacotta cotta with peppers Fabulous service and a beautiful setting.

Had a wonderful dinner here great ambience as in a limestone cave which was amazing and the food, wine and service was excellent.
