Bad food, bad service and they dont accept credit card. They say that they dont accept the credit card after that we finished.

Our guide recommended to dine here. We had a hard time understanding what we were ordering even though the menu items were also listed in english the translation was slightly off. We were happy with what we had although we didn't know what it was and the owner couldn't find the words to explain it to us.

We didn‘t think you could eat bad food in Italy but this place proved us wrong. Even the bruschetta was bad and they charged us EUR 8.00 for it. Would not recommend this place to anyone. It was a great disappointment.

Based on the reviews here, I would think this place to be terrible, but I actually had the best prosciutto and melon of my entire two weeks in Italy. Melon was firm and very sweet, and the prosciutto had a great pork flavor and saltiness, and complimented the melon perfectly. Service was laid back, perhaps that bothers people but there was only one other table occupied when we were there for lunch so it wasn't an issue. We also ordered buffalo mozzarella with cherry tomatoes and it made me a fan of that dish when before I didn't like tomatoes. If you're nearby and need a snack, I would give this place a chance.

We were a group of 12 people; they put us in two different tables (6 each) and we ordered mixt salades and some local starters. Our friends have been served after 30 minutes (only cold dishes) whilst we haven’t been served at all after almost one hour!!!! We complained and decided to leave the restaurant. Whilst talking to the owner, she asked for paying 10€ for just two bottles of water..... I leave at you any further consideration; we’ve been told by locals that this is one of the worst places in Matera. Whilst I am sponsoring Matera as a very nice destination, I friendly suggest you to stay away from this horrible place. I really need to say that this time I didn’t previously check on Trip Advisor the rating before going, otherwise I should have staid away. I kindly recommend you not to make my mistake.....
