The Federal Hotel - Maryborough

After visiting an art exhibition opening night, hubby and I drove to the federal hotel for a quick dinner. the service was very friendly and warm, and we got cold water and menus immediately. I chose a prosecco while nabeby went for a soft drink. we both decided on an salat – halloumi for him, and a roasted sweet version with a fried egg above for me. there were also discs of the gurke, and some green leaves. I added grilled chicken that came as tender and tasty stripes, and I would have loved a bit more. I enjoyed this salat, but I felt that it could have done with a lift like a splash of lemon juice and maybe a scatter of roasted nuts and a black pfeffer. the sweet was roasted in a simple oil, and I would rather have the bite of olive oil. but this is a small point, and only my preference. we shared a bowl with aloli. hubby enjoyed its salat of roasted pumpkin, with the salty, queaky halloumi and green leaves and cheeksen. the hotel interieur is quirky, painted in black with interesting wall paintings, a chandelier or two, and wavy iron walls. we had a pleasant evening meal and would rejoice on our next trip to the fraser coast.

During a visit to maryborough, this place randomly stumbled and was pleasantly surprised to see vegan items on the menu. the staff was helpful and we ended up with sweet potato falafels and a wobelbjahi burger. the burger was delicious! it came filled with fresh salads, including salat, tomato and avocado, as well as a large side of fries. the felafels were well flavored, although a bit sticky. overall we enjoyed our lunch very much.

We happened upon this restaurant by chance while in Maryborough and were pleasantly surprised to find vegan options on the menu. The staff were friendly and we decided to try the sweet potato falafels and an onion bhaji burger. The burger was amazing, filled with fresh salads such as lettuce, tomato, and avocado, along with a generous side of fries. The falafels were flavorful but slightly mushy. In general, we had a great lunch experience.

The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and the more you go there, the more you will learn it! The food is AMAZING every time I go there, I always know what I want every time. they have a wide range of drinks and drinks. If you are a person who eats a great meal, but not too big, the Possum Burger is the best. Food always comes fast and it's always so delicious. Also a warning if you ever get the Fed Burger, NOT GET it for YOURSELF! It is large enough for 2 people. The live music and bands they have are always great and cheerful and funny. I would recommend DEFINITELY, it's such an AMAZING restaurant.
