Au Coin du Pont - Martigues

We went to this place twice as we really love the food and the service there. Everything is done at home, which surprises us about the price category. You can say that the 2 owners who work there really care about their customers. As a cherry... at the top of the cake, we tried the “Cafe Gourmand” and again, all made house. Very recommended!

I never have lunch at Coin du Pont when I happen to be in Martigues. Welcome to the owner. Nice set menu choices cheap. Excellent kitchen. Local wines. Excellent value for money.

If you want to enjoy duck, offered in a variety of ways, then go to this restaurant. It is led by a man and woman, and the food is very good.

Chose this place as it's run by a young couple and it is nice to encourage them. They have obviously put their hearts and souls into this place. My partner ordered a typical Italian dish which seemed to cause problems in the kitchen. (It shouldn't...have been on the menu! We waited nearly an hour and when it finally arrived it had little in common with its Italian counterpart! I had ordered a fish dish and this was really delicious. Other people's food looked good too. Probably we were just unlucky.

We went for dinner on the recommendation of Trip Advisor, we were not disappointed-its a husband and wife team, who seem to work very hard, the meal was good value and delicious, we ate at one of the pavement tables and it was a pleasant...experience overall-Marigues is a pretty town, although somewhat quiet in the evening -even in August, but that was not a bad thing, a nice sojourn
