The Jalapeno Tree - Marshall

We thought of a late lunch, the place was still busy, the service was prompt and friendly. The food was delicious. Fajitas with steak and chicken. (Sizzling hot and seasoned exactly right.) The chips were perfect, the tortillas warm, the cheese creamy, just right. We were definitely surprised by the wonderful service and our expectations exceeded.

Super friendly staff. The drinks were great and the green sauce is where it is?.

The restaurant is very similar to Chuy's, but the food tastes a little better. It's not good enough I ever come back. Prices are above average. I have two stars because our server, Chloe, gave excellent service.

If you go to a restaurant and they have signs that they won't be open on Tuesday because they can't help anyone to work there, you won't be satisfied. We took place. Chips and hot sauce broout. Hot sauce tastes like tomato soup from a can, not hot on it, just tomato flavor. Wife ordered a taco soup that is an appetizer. It doesn't matter until food is brought out. Only 6 (including us) people throughout the restaurant and it takes an hour to get food on the table. I told the waitress that it was good that they weren't busy. You mention that the service had gone down to which it had agreed. My meal was okay, especially if you like warm instant tea. The wife's meal was terrible. Taco soup was full of liquid cheese, beef tacos had yesterday meat in them as in dry and hard as a heat lamp makes meat. She said the soup had an acidic smell. It's already awhile since we last visited this Jalapeño site and I'll say for the record, it's our last.

Did not care for the food at this particular location. Limited work staff meant an hours wait for our food. We had an awesome waiter who kept bringing refills in drinks and chips. Of course we were full from that by the time the food arrived. Thank goodness it wasn't rush hour.
