Pizza Express - Marlow

Sadly, though the food was tasty and delivered quickly after ordering, the time to order and the 15minutes waiting to get the plates cleared or at least someone’s attention was too much for us. Perhaps others don’t mind being ignored (twice), but we do,

We always go to marlow pizza express but tonight we were really disappointed with the service the first time in 10years. The service was extremely poor the manager was useless we order drinks which never arrived the young lad was the only person working hard tonight he was running around trying to keep everyone happy without any support from management also the food was great as usual but the service really let it down tonight.

This review is going to be as plain and forgettable as my experience at Pizza Express. I ordered the Padana with extra chicken and my friend ordered the Pollo ad Astra with extra pepperoni. First off, for a £2.50 add-on you would think you paid 50p for it. Across the whole pizza there was probably about 4 pieces of added chicken, which isn’t enough for 8 slices. While my friend’s pepperoni to pizza slice ratio fared a bit better at 1-2 pieces of pepperoni to a slice. Secondly, my pizza, although I had been to the bathroom for a few minutes, was cold to lukewarm by the time I got to eating. Sorry but if the tomato base is chilled after 5min, it clearly hasn’t just come straight out of the over. Lastly, our drinks which specified, “served with lemon and mint” contained neither the lemon nor the mint. Overall, disappointing and won’t be returning. The only real positives were that staff were friendly enough and school kids may find it acceptable.

Been coming to the Pizza Express in Marlow since 1998 and it has always been great, but recently it has become a disaster zone. Last visit they were out of ham so despite accepting an order for my pizza they came back with 20 minutes later with a different pizza and said I couldn 't have the one I wanted. Service used to be quick but now very slow. Ordered a beer, but it never came. No knives on most of the tables, so had to pinch one off one of the few tables that did have one. Never got offered a menu again for postres so after 10 minutes with empty plates we gave up. Won 't be coming back until they get decent staff who know what they are doing.

I went there for lunch after a long time. The food was great as well as the wine and staff who are still working here. It's a well maintained restaurant, the toilets are always spotless and a great place to eat. I had the chicken wings and pasta and tiramisu and a coffee....Nothing was too much to ask .... Great team.Thanks.
