Villa De Finetti - Mariano del friuli

For years it has apparently been an insider tip for the local population. Everybody knows it, everybody goes there, people only talk about it once you ask. And so we did as we saw the entrance door lit while driving slowly by. Personnel is most friendly and cooperative, the food simple but excellent: salame, prosciutto, cheese and pickles. Wine and espresso are more than drinkable. What was intended as an apperitivo ended in a full dinner and costed for 2 people the gigantic amount of Euro 33. excl. tip! Garden and architecture alone are worth a visit.

The location has an extremely warmly and artistic design. The walls are decorated with prints and sketches dedicated to the artist De Finetti Period. Our 45 guests comfortably had dinner in the first dining room meanwhile in the second one we ask a DJ to manage music up to 02:00 in the morning. The staff is smiley and kind, the prices in line with the service and the Friulano and the Spumante were really delicious. Enjoy!

This place is simply unique ! It's niether a restaurant nor a cellar but it'a a beautiful old villa with a rustic interiors which is simply perfect to stop at and enjoy a glass of wine ! The interiors are decorated with dark brown tables and banches, lots of red pillows, carpets and fresh flowers everywhere. The place is cosy, smart casual, with a very warm atmosphere. It is surrounded by a very nice garden full of trees and flowers, perferct for some good pictures. In Spring and Summer there outdoor tables available too. They serve organic wine, I highly recomand to try the Malbec, and you can complement your wine glass with a selection of cold cuts, cheese and some canapes or finger food. Good to go there with your partner, friends or an informal business meeting. Not good with kids since they will really ruine the atmosphere ! Recomanded for an aperitive or pre dinner drinks. Last but not least very good price for the overall experience !
