Subway - Manteno

This is a nice subway. Clean, fresh food, nice staff. Picnic tables outside.

Nice people. Quick service. Not the best new menu.New bread is rather tough and doughy... Stay away from the bacon IMO.

One of the people that was making food for the kids and grandfather in front of us sneezed while making the young girls sandwich. The look on her face was like feeling disgusted. If you have the need to sneeze please excuse yourself from the customers wash your hands and return. I’m glad the other person returned from break or something to make mine and my wife’s sandwich’s .

Workers are not given breaks and are expected to close the store off the clock. They serve expired food and the bins have mold in them...Instead of simply replacing them, they continue to use them. They also don't properly store the meats in the case.

I had a bad experience at this location and will not be going back. The owner Kathy Bentz reached out to me but didnt offer a reasonable solution and has since stopped responding. My sandwich was messed up, ice machine isn't working. Wasn't offered any sort of compensation for the inedible sandwich or the **** warm drink. Do yourself a favor and go to Jimmy John's down the street.
