Bidrage med feedbackRestaurant about 1/2 full. Seated promptly got chips salsa. Were acknowledged once, then waited. And waited. And waited. Finally tossed three dollars on the table and went to Sunset Grill.
This is a small family owened restaurant. Most authentic Mexican food in the Valley. I have many favorite there. To name a few; steak fajita Salad, fish tacos, street tscos, carne asada, and all shrimp dishes. They have delicious vegetarians options aswell. LOVE the veggie burrito! Word of advice if your planing to bring a party make reservations.
Great enchiladas, rice beans, and carne asada. Maybe I caught the restaurant on a good day, but the two owners of the restaurant were SO super friendly and attentive to us, its hard to imagine the poor service everyone is talking about. If I were to go back to Manson (which I hope to do soon), I would love to go back for dinner. The guac looked excellent, but we didn't order so that would be the way I would start the meal. LOVE. MEXICAN. FOOD.
The absolute worst restaurant interaction that I have ever had. Attached is a screenshot of my original post. The owner 's response is unbelievable. There was no question as to what the issues were. So I will detail. 45 minutes after placing our order I was presented with a plate of chili verde. Very little sauce with the meat. Approximately 1/3 of the meat was chunks of fat. When asked for water and silverware we were pointed to where we can get them ourselves. Three salsas came on a plate which was filled with dirty water. All three of the salsas were frozen. After so many bad things and an extremely long wait the dining experience could not be changed for the better. Response from the owner: Hello, Jeremy. Great review. Four stars on content, 3 stars on flow, and another 3 stars on punctuation. It 's easy to hide behind a screen and give your expertise on Mexican food. Next time have the courage to come up to the front and enlighten us with your knowledge of Mexican cuisine, then at the very least we have a chance to correct the issue. Better yet, come in at 6am and show us how to prep and prepare our meals. 'Salsa sucked, food wasn 't good either... ' that 's some award-winning writing there. So Jeremy, I extended an invitation to you to come in and show us how to make salsa that doesn 't suck and food that is better than 2 stars. Ask for anyone in the kitchen, we have an apron waiting for you. Cheers.
The service was great at this little downtown restaurant. We were served quickly, even though we were a larger group of 7. I had the cheese enchiladas. They were okay, but lacked a bit of flavor. Everyone in our party, felt the food was okay, but just could have done with a bit more flavor. The unique pico with cabbage was very good with the salsa and chips. I would love to see them step up the flavor a bit as this could be an awesome place.
