281 With Rooms - Mansfield

The website and all information about this hotel is so out of date don't believe a word of it. We chose this hotel as it said it served evening meals. No chance. When we asked the response was not exactly apologetic. Very unprofessional approach to their business and if they don't make improvements then I can not see them surviving Scruffy appearance of presumably the owners, all smiles and friendly welcome but that is not enough I'm afraid What a waste! This hotel deserves better

Very disappointed in our visit. The website for this hotel is totally misleading. It doesn't have a restaurant and the bar was only open on the second night. The breakfast is very limited and it seems the very sparse dining room is shared by the staff cooking their own breakfast. A member of the staff who on occasion was in reception was wearing a baseball cap, and the staff seemed to be in very casual clothes. The room was however very clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The location was ideal for our visit and fortunately there was a very good pub nearby...thankfully serving very good food. I don't recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

We stayed here because family was using the hotel for the wake after a funeral held close by the following day and it seemed convenient to the Crematorium. The area is very nice and we had some good walks to pass the time around the neighbourhood. The breakfast room was lovely and the food was outstanding. The staff were super friendly and very kind and accommodating, Going so far as to loan us a vacant room to change our clothes the day of the funeral and holding onto our bags because the event occurred after check out time. The hotel itself is an older style like all of the lovely homes in the area but if you like character this is no hardship, the rooms are pleasant and clean, the beds are comfortable and in excellent condition, bathrooms are also clean and functional. I understand that the interior is being renovated and saw signs that they are doing a wonderful job of this. The food provided and empathy shared by staff at the wake was wonderful and the public spaces were beautiful. All in all a very pleasant overnight stay despite it being a funeral.

Very nice place we were here for a wake and was well looked after . There was plenty of food and we were asked more than twice if everything was OK. From the outside it wasn't appealing but once inside totally different lovely..

Very nice hotel. Staff friendly and meals great. My round table have made this place our official meeting place. Recommend for food and drinks and general. Never stayed here so can’t comment.
