Bidrage med feedbackSmall, nice restaurant, with traditional food. Well cooked. Madame in charge really nice. But, in our visit it takes more than 2,5 hour to have dinner (we arrive at 21:30, maybe to late for France people!?! . Also the main dishes, raviolli with duck with, was cooked with no salt inside. Anyway, I guess the next visit there will be a 5 points restaurant. I found the price was good for the France level
The location wouldn't necessarily draw you in, but the food should do! One of the best meals I have eaten in a long time...
A very pleasant surprise in the small city of Manosque in Provence. Our first diner was so nice that we came back the day after. The food is really at top level: the best of products cooked exquisitely with superb flavors and fragances. All of this for an almost ridiculously low price (full menu at 25 € ! . Do not hesitate to enter this lovely petite auberge and enjoy the fare. Michel T.
Small restaurant in Manosque serving cuisine from the south western Lauragais region between Touluse and Carcassonne, their 25 euro three course lunch menu is very good value for such a high standard of cuisine. We both had their signature duck ravioli for starter and for main we differed; my other half with duck confit and a porkchop in mustard sauce for me. Beautifully presented and high quality. Desserts were a framboisier for me and a shortbread biscuit with strawberries for him. With a 50cl carafe of excellent red vin de pays de Ventoux and coffee, it was a mere 65 euros for a top notch meal. We have been going here for many years and while it was always good, it has if anything, improved even further. Years ago, the hostess could be a little changeable, but she appears to have read some of these reviews and is now discretion personified.
This restaurant would usually receive a visit from us at least twice a year under the old proprietor. The cuisine was always a very high standard for quite reasonable prices. It now has much younger owners who have completely modernised the premises and miraculously, it's even better than before. We snuck in at midday on a Thursday lunchtime and took the only non-reserved table because this restaurant is rightly very popular amongst locals. We chose the duck ravioli for starters with a fresh pea broth that was sublime. It got even better with the mains. Veal sweetbreads for me and duck magnet with foie gras for companion. The sauces and vegetables were exquisite, the meat perfectly rested and the sauces wonderfully rich. Finally came the desserts which blew us away even more: a chocolate mille feuille with the butteriest flaky party I have ever enjoyed whereas the citrus fruit choux craquant was simply a delight. Even the carafe of red was an amazing Côtes du Rhône. All for 146 euros with coffees and it is Michelin star standard as far as we can discern. We shall be visiting more often in future.
