Pappageorge Restaurant Bar - Mankato

This place is consistently great. Service is always good- food is always delicious. Bartender and wait staff make you feel like you’re family! Make a reservation as the restaurant is often full! This speaks to the quality and popularity of PappaGeorge! Love it here!!!

We have a group of ladies that eat lunch here once a month and then play cards. Today the owner out of no where was extremely rude…we asked if we could put two 4 seats together to dine together and she said loud and very rudely..”absolutely not, and if you want to play cards here you will do it my way!” You might think you have a monopoly of people from Mankato that think you can do no wrong but this kind of attitude gets around quickly! There were 8 lunches bought and tips given. We asked nothing of you…there are plenty of other restaurants in Mankato that appreciate business!

The atmosphere was really nice, like a friend's house. The service was really good fast, as soon as I finished my water it was refilled. My walleye was cold and had little flavor, the steamed broccoli was cold, and the carrots were cold. The other steaks were under and over cooked. The food looked better than it was.

Just had the best steak in town. Perfectly prepared. Very friendly and professional staff, warm atmosphere. Our entire table enjoyed their experience. Highly recommend.

The food is phenomenal. The staff is personable and fun and it’s not overly priced.
