Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant has a simple and honest feel, with delicious dishes that are not too sweet and have no strong flavors. The crispy outer layer coated in sugar is fun to bite into and tasty. The portion sizes are just right, not too big and not too small. I've already bought it three times, but I think I'll want to eat it again.
Located in one corner of Area 9 in Maniwa City, "Takasebune" is a long-established yokan (sweet bean jelly) shop in the Ochiai area. The elegant sweetness of their yokan is a favorite, and it is delicious and well-received as a souvenir or gift. The shop was founded in the first year of Meiwa (1764) when it moved from the neighboring village of Furumiya, hence the name "Furumiya". It has been passed down through nine generations starting from Fukushima Taro Hachi. The shop prospered along with "Asahikawa" in the areas of Katsuyama, Kuze, and Ochiai, which were once thriving ports for Takasebune boats, giving the feeling of a mountain village flourishing by the riverside.
I discovered this restaurant as a gift and was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness after the first bite! There were no unnecessary ingredients, just a natural sweetness that brought a sense of nostalgia. A taste that has been passed down through generations. I definitely want to visit the restaurant in person.
