The Wharf Manitowoc

Cool place. Great view. Great food. We had cheese curds for appetizer shrimp tacos for our meal. The food was excellent. I would high recommend this place will return if I’m ever up this way again.

Ok for a bar experience although as out of towners we had no idea, we thought we'd experience dining on the water but that side only had high tables and couldn't accommodate the disabled. We did eat outside, street side, in the wind because there was no canopy nor was there accommodations inside. Service was non-existent. You waited your own food and bussed your own table. Shrimp tacos were delicious but only non-alcoholic drinks were off the kids menu, ironically.

We chose the Wharf based on its location, but was highly disappointed. Many major menu items were not available including hamburger buns. There was a sign saying 30 minutes for food--it was 45 for one small order. The hamburger came on greasy grilled bread. The tables were dirty. It's a shane for such a prime location.

It’s similar to a food truck experience! The bar is dominant in center of facilities. Food is ordered at a window on side in back. You are given a beeper to pick up your food.My patty melt came in white bread with about three pieces of fried onions.No dark beers on menus.Definitely not geared for senior citizens based on seating options.Prices were good!Wheelchair accessibility: Very handicapped accessible

I'm giving this restaurant two stars because it has beautiful views of the Manitowoc River and it's a very nice looking place.I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger with fries, a side of cheese curds, and a soda. $30. No refills on the soda. I waited about 40 minutes for my food and in my opinion, the place wasn't busy enough to justify the wait. My burger was not good. The burger patty was low grade meat, very thin, unseasoned, and had a slimy texture. No flavor to the Swiss cheese. The bun was hard as a rock and was not toasted. The burger was loaded with fresh mushrooms but they were also unseasoned and tasted like they had been soaking in water. The fries were decent but unsalted. The cheese curds were cheap frozen out-of-the-bag curds served with a raspberry sauce. I don’t think raspberry sauce goes well with cheese curds. No ranch sauce option.Overall I was unhappy with my experience here and will not be returning.
