Bidrage med feedbackWe had the misfortune to visit this place to the NYE dinner/buffet. The buffet actually did not exist and was handed out a selection of small pots of various objects swimming in the cream. Ham in cream, salmon in cream, pumpkin in cream, creamy risotto, cheese then ice cream. (It's not her fault I'm not eating any fois grass or veal, but there were no alternatives) we eat the chips we ordered for our children. We went hungry and paid over €60 a head, not including wine! These people do not live in the real world. I tried to get a glass of water several times, but the bar staff ignored me. We will never go back, whoever thought that the name “Happy Chalet” would laugh.
This place is officially a bar, pub, restaurant. While I think it is well qualified for the first 2 (Nizza, quite good beverage selection, great service), it is not quite in place for the title restaurant. First, the view is really nice especially from the balcony.... You can see the surrounding mountains... In addition, the seat is less crowded than in similar mountain bars. Also the service was fast, pleasant and overall very good. The menu was really short with little offer, and a lot of food was fat and moderate (e.g. a lot of salad dressing just tipped on a bunch of green salad). We'd come back, but for drinks and views, not for food.
Didn't try the food but liked the coffee! Staff is friendly and helpful. There is free wifi. I think this may be a fun place to go during the Nocturne night ski
Very disappointing New Year's buffet we have left hunger. The buffet table was there and it was empty. Small pots of not much handled round. Very disappointing way to start 2018 and at 60 € a head plus drinks it was much too much for...so little. We asked for bread and cheese because we were so hungry.
In summer we had lunch with beautiful scenery. They serve local food and beer. We often go to a happy chalet in winter skiing season, they change the menu very often. So this is our canteen!!
