La Bussola - MANFREDONIA

We were staying in our camper on the adjoining camp site in the first week in February, the site was very quiet and we didn't expect the restaurant to be open, but thankfully it was. The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere, traditional Italian furnishings blended with modern wood burning fires and polished stone floors. Everything was clean and the place was very inviting. The menu was fairly extensive with a good mix of seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes, all traditional Italian. I had mussels and my wife had a mixture of cured meats all excellent and for main courses we had veal and chicken, everything was freshly prepared and tasted excellent. There was also a good wine list which was very reasonably priced, as was the food. The service was efficient and friendly with the restaurant owner bringing us local savouries to try. Meal for two with wine and coffee, just over €50. And I was expecting to have to eat in the camper.

Pro: good location to visit the gargan. price on average season excellent: for two people, car and tent I spent 25€. the hourly bands of silence, neither in the afternoon nor during the night, however at the end of August was still very quiet. direct access to the beach. internal restaurant, but I didn't take advantage of it and I can't evaluate it. counter: the bathrooms need refreshments, are not dirty, but the owner really dated reluctant to use the ATM, at the request on this answered with enough and reiterated prefer the cash. General for short stays or night support I recommend it.

Is the second consecutive year that we remain in this structure. we enjoyed direct access to the beach and tranquility of the place. bungalows are functional, even if they need more maintenance. the staff is helpful and kind. Great restaurant! in ns opinion the value for money is good. We suggest the cozy and iconic mario to keep the bar open even in the evening hours. Never!
