Nino's - Mandurah

I have been surprised to read negative comments regarding this restaurant because my husband and I had a tasty fish,chips,salad plus a bottle of wine. The food was well cooked and presented. The staff were efficient and alert to our requests. We had a lovely sunny day so enjoyed sitting outside but there is plenty of space inside.

Always was good. Last couple of times it was really awful. Something has changed. May be new owner or manager. Kitchen staff changed? Service very very slow. And it was not busy! Staff in kitchen just talking amongst themselves. Slack and not getting on with the job. Girl on cash register was downright rude.When we went to get our meals they were wrong orders and we were told off that's what we ordered. NO that's what the cashier mistakenly put throughIn the meantime by now we just wanted to sit down and eat. Most tables dirty with used plates. My husband wanted to go get the staff to clean table for us. Waited but gave up and we did it ourselves. You restaurant prices for takeaway or cheap cafeteria serviceThe food: worst fish we ever had. Smelly as if defrosted days before. My husband reckons it was Basa or similar. Batter was dark and greasy and the chips cold and soggy. We have been coming here for a few years and we always had a lovely meal. The last couple times we came with friends and all of our meals were bad. My friend had grilled fish which was dry and overcooked. One meal had two pieces of fish and the other same meal had one. They tried to tell us that they portion the same sometimes one large or two small. NO Way. The fish portions were completely different size. Slack staff with excuses, bad food, slow arrogant service is sending your customers to the opposition. May be that's where we will go next time.

Fish and chip cafe overlooking the marina, the location was lovely with outside seating but we chose inside due to the wintry weather.

Loved the seafood platter for 2. The drink selection was ok. The service was good. The food was very good and the view and atmosphere was brilliant. This place has improved massively from last time we came

After standing in a line to order our meal we found a table and then decided a beer would go well with our lunch. We went to the bar area and waited and waited and waited. After about 5 minutes a young gentleman came and we asked for a beer. A lady who was taking queue orders came over and said we had to get back in line to order our beers. What rubbish. Have you ever heard of such nonsense. She then pointed to a sign we hadn't seen informing us that this is what you had to do. Where is the service in this procedure and if you were an international visitor you would be scratching your head and going what gives. Needless to say we didn't buy the beers and we won't be returning.On a more positive note the whiting with chips and salad for $16 was good value.
